ABOUT Eve Minax

An integral lifestyle and professional Domina, BDSM educator, and pleasure artist, Eve Minax is the kinkiest person I know!  She delights in proliferating carnal knowledge with a spiritual bent. Her presentations at numerous sex shops, academic forums, and alternative sexuality conferences around the globe challenge as well as entertain!  Perhaps you’ve seen her column/talk show on Carnal Nation, “Welcome to My Parlor!”  

Minax firmly believes in the magic of D/s dynamics, and she maintains numerous Domme/sub relationships around the globe.  We first met at a piercing workshop in Minneapolis, and she attended the very first Erotic Dominance Intensive in 2002.  Clearly enthusiastic about the work Sybil Holiday and I were doing, we invited her to join us.  A glorious mixture of the joyful and intense S/M play I embody and Sybil’s thorough and focused D/s style, Minax stepped up when Sybil retired in 2005.  And I’m so pleased she did; our styles complement each other so well I can’t imagine my Academy without her!

Also a ritualist and piercing aficionado,  Minax has graduated from Fakir's Professional Piercing Intensive, and is a ka-see-ka at the “Spirit + Flesh” body based shamanic seminars and energy pull rituals Fakir and I offer.  She has also is a certified Bondassage practitioner who has studied Urban Tantra with Barbara Carellas.  

Recognized as an expert resource across multiple fields for academic and sociological institutions, Minax serves as an advisor on RAC (Research and Advisory Committee) for CARAS (Community-Academic Consortium for Research on Alternative Sexualities), assisting post-graduates with their thesis work. She has been a production coordinator for CiniKink:Chicago.  She is also the West Coast Coordinator for the Leather Archives and Museum, helping conserve and disperse leather history.   Published most recently in Maria Coletsis’ “Behind the Whip,” Minax, like me, has a chapter coming out in Lee Harrington’s, “Spirit of Desire.”  And she’s pioneering a new genre of pairing kinky sex scenes with cuisine!
